Final Part 1 of 2 

Class Evaluation 

What I like about this class is that it isn't that hard to do the work is really easy to do. What I enjoyed doing for this class is doing medical research because I got to learn about different job descriptions which I liked. What I also like about this class is when you would show us videos about life lessons and other things. I suggest that you should give us more free time so we can enjoy this class more. Yes, I will always be comitted to do my very best even during the tough times. It is important to me to do my best because it proves to me that I'm a strong person. I sometimes act like a CTR person not all the times.

IDP Showcase 

My IDP showcase didn't turn out to a be disaster for the first time but I felt that I didn't really do good like I was expecting it to be or how I practice it to be because when you go up there you forget what your going to say even though you have memorized the words (that how I felt). To be honest I wasn't really nervous for the first time. My topic was Prostate Cancer. My part to present was the Description part which was " What is this disease?", "How do you get this disease?", "Who is affected by this disease?". I believe that this is a good help because when you grow up you may have to apply to a job that invovles presenting in front of a big crowd.

What this quote is saying is that you should always do what's right even in the tough times. Let's say your really struggling out in a situation and you decide to do wrong but still gives you out a good result of what you expected. But unfortunatly you chose to do it the wrong way which isn't really good. Always do whats right.

What this quote says is that there is no need to fear if your option is to always choose the right. For example if you struggle on what to do just know that you should choose what's right.

The 3 questions by Lou Holtz 

1) Can people trust me to do what's right?

2) Am I commited to doing my very best?

3) Do I treat people the way I want to be treated ?

"If the answers to these questions are YES, there is no way you can fail". 

I believe that people can trust me to do what's right, why because if something happens to someone and it can be fixed then I'll help that person out and do the right thing. Yes, I'am always commited to do my very best. I've always been commited to do my best ever since I was a little girl I would always try my best in things even when I'd struggle and wanted to give up. Yes, sometimes I treat people the way I want to be treated because I don't want them to treat me in a disrespectful way. It also depends on how that person talks or treats me if that person is rude to me then I wouldn't mind being rude back to them.

What this quote says is that maintaing a healthy body is not just about eating right and being active.

GREECE 

Greece is beautiful place I believe by the pictures I see on the internet. I would love to visit Greece someday because first of all it is a gorgeous place and calls my attention to visit it. I would also like to visit Greece because I would like to try different foods and learn a little about their tradition. It also calls my attention because of the color of the ocean it is so blue and clean. I've always dreamed of getting in the water with a nice color and all those types of details ever since I was a little girl and I still do.  

I would consider going to Greece with my family and friends. Hopefully I visit Greece someday.

What this quote is saying is that kindness is the nature of greatness. For example if your a nice person the essence of greatness might perhaps com to you, I believe.

Thanksgiving Week 

What I did on Thanksgiving week was that I just stayed home and watched movies. On Thanksgiving Day my family gathered together and made food. My family and I had a wonderful time. One of the best things about Thanksgiving is that the day after Thanksgiving (aka Black Friday) is that you get to eat the leftovers. The places that I went to was the Nail shop, and Target. Homework that I did last minute was my Biology homework. My Thanksgiving break was a little boring because I didn't really do much although it wasn't my family's fault because they would invite me to places but I just refuse not to go.

What this quote is saying is that if you no that the action you are going to take is wrong then do not do it. If you are going to say something or spread rumors about something/someone that isn't true then don't say it. Basically it means to not do things that aren't right. An example is that if someone ask's you to say something that isn't true be brave enough to say no. 

Thanksgiving 

Thanksgiving is a national holiday that is celebrated in U.S also in other countries as well. I believe that thanksgiving is a celebration that is made to give thanks for all the amazing things in life. The first people that were to celebrate this holiday were the Pilgrims in the 1600's. George Washington declared the first national Thanksgiving Day in 1789.

What Chick Moorman is trying to say in this quote is that if you choose to do the right your life will be peaceful. For example if you are playing in a game/tournament that is really important to win and you will do anything to win then its right if you put in all your effort into it but if you win by cheating or something then it is wrong. You should always play fair in the game otherwise it doesn't count. I think that if I was in a position like this either to cheat or play fair I'd play fair because when i'm playing a game I don't feel right cheating, I like playing fair. So even though you might've not won the game it is important to always play with equality. What I learned from this quote and choose to do is to always play equitable.

The person who wrote this quote is saying to always choose the right even though you don't have courage to do it. You also need to have the courage to face the truth and not blame it on someone else. You also need to choose the right thing because it is the right thing to do. 

Interior Design

Duties and Responsibilities: A interior designer job is to have the perfect visual representation in a home or property the client desires. They must be creative in their own way and agree with the clients standard. They are in charge for buying furniture and products for the home and are also in charge of construction work. The designer must negotiate a price with the client.

Salary: $33,629 - $46,188

Veterans Day

What is Veterans Day?

Ø Veterans Day is a day that is celebrated to show honor and respect to those marines or solder’s who fought in vain for our country.

When is it?

Ø The day that Veterans Day is celebrated on is November 11.

         What is the purpose of Veterans Day? 

Ø The purpose of Veterans Day is to show respect for those who have fought and show recognition to them and their families.

            Why is it important to show honor and respect on Veterans Day?

Ø It is important to show honor and respect on Veterans Day because it is important to appreciate all the things that the marines and etc... have done for us.

List several ways to show honor and respect on Veterans Day                   

           *Going to a ceremony about them

           *Going to church

           *Attending to grave land where all those people who fought can be honor

           I think that Veterans Day is an important day to recognize. Veterans Day doesn’t really affect me because I don’t know how it feels to have someone you care about be in the marines or dead and celebrate their honor. But yet I’m still thankful for those who fought in vain.

What this quote states is that someone who walks in with good company shall be a wise person and someone who walks in with bad people shall be a person of bad habit's, be discriminated. When you hang out with the wrong crowd and choose to do wrong decisions you usually end up in a bad spot. However, if you hang out with good influence comes out of you and don't have to worry about the bad habits. 

What this quote is saying is that your best action of how you are as a human is the best when you just do it for enjoyment. For example when you are in leisure just be good for fun you don't have to try hard just to show that you are a good person for everybody else just be good for yourself.

Health Educator

Duties and Responsibilities:  Health educators provide programs to help individuals make healthy lifestyle choices. They set examples of what they should do to make a healthier lifestyle. They encourage people to pick a healthy lifestyle.

Salary: An estimate of $30,000 - $60,000

Education: A bachelor’s degree or higher in education, public health education or health promotion.

Reflection: I think that I wouldn’t to be one because it doesn’t really call my attention to do it.

What this quote is saying is that if your going for the right choice then go for it even though no one agrees with you and everyone is against it or having peer pressure. If you dont want to choose the wrong then dont even if your the only one for it.

What this quote is saying is that dont risk what you want most don't stress yourself out on what you want as of right now. Do the regular basis of your life and just go with the flow.

 

Healthcare Administrator

Duties and Responsibilities: A healthcare administrator is responsible for facility business management and other operations they are running like a hospital or nursing. They are specialist who supervise patient’s at hospitals or special clinics.

Salary: $64,821 per year

Education: A master’s degree is required in the field of public health or business, hospital or nursing administration. A bachelor’s degree is often sufficient.

Reflection: Yes, I think I like to be one because the job seems easy and you could interact with people and it’s a well paying job.

What this quote states is that a good name is chosen over any other great things. You want everyone to see you as a good person and see the great qualities you have as a person. You want to give them a good visual image in the representation of your name. This quote says that a good name should be chosen than any other luxury things/money. I believe that this quote is true because I wouldnt be comfortable getting fancy things knowing that my name is known as bad person ,but in other cases it might be different because peolpe might be jelous of you knowing that you are a good person and start romors that say you are a bad person.

What this quote is reffering to is that your name should be a your definition how you are. For example you dont want to be that type of person that when someone here's your name you don't want that person to remember you in a negative way you want them to reffer to you as good freind and a good human being. What he means by saying that a good name is better than anything in this life is that you want the best for yourself and want everybody to know that your a good person.

This quote is saying that if you are being pressured by your friends (peer pressure) to do something and you know its wrong make a stand to the correct situation. Even if you have no one to back you up in your stand you must be brave enough to stand up, and when there are others in the same situation they can look up to you and do the same steps.

What this quote is saying is that if you are a champion your outcome is a positive thing because you are a person of good and making good choices.  

Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) Specialist (Otolaryngologist)

Duties and Responsibilities: The responsibility of this physician is to help their patients treat disorders of those three parts which is the ear, nose, and throat. Their duty is to help the patient feel better. They usually work in the head and neck area.

Salary: $304,785

Education: At least five years of surgical residency

Reflection: This is well paying job and a great career but its just not for me because this isn’t what I want to focus on my entire life, its just not for me. I don’t hate this job because I don’t know what its like to be one but it just doesn’t call my attention to master this job.

To be succesful is an option it is not an obligation. But who wouldn't want to be successful? Being successful is good thing the way I see it because you are developed with education and it"s your option what you do with that education is given to you. For example after you grduate High School its your choice what to do after either to study a professianl career or not to do anything. And no sometimes its not always education that gets you to be succesful there are other ways but it will mainly be education that reaches you to success. The habits you have today, the choices you choose are what the dreams you may have tommorow.

Obedience 

"When obedience becomes our goal, it is no longer an irritation,: instead of a stumbling block, it becomes a building block." - James E. Faust 

What Faust is saying is that when you become obedient it is no longer a problem its just something that adds up to your life. Since that person is used to being obedient it no longer bothers that person because they are already used to it. That person is already obedient they don't have to stress about choosing the right and it might just come up naturally. When Faust refers to a building block he means that every time your obedient its just a building block that adds on to your life.

What this quote means is that if you choose the right thing to do your choice was correct. It also refers to a positive thing in your life, I believe.

DERmATOLoGIST

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Dermatologist are doctors who work with skin conditions, treat skin disorders, may also work with the patients hair and nails. They carry a responsibility to inspect and observe for any symptoms on the patients body. They may prescribe you with any medications that must be used for the skin etc…

SALARY: $87,010 - $307,634

EDUCATION:

1)    Bachelor’s degree

3)   Internshio (1 YEAR)

4)  Dermatology residency program (3 YEARs)

REFLECTION: Becoming a dermatologist takes a lot of work and it does seem interesting being a dermatologist. But being a dermatologist is not my best interest.

Special Effect Makeup Artist

Duties and Responsibilities:

·        Creates optical illusions on models

·        Producing and sketching design ideas for hairstyles and makeup

·        Managing time

·        Communicating with clients for visual requirements

·        Based on the persons face shape you’ll be responsible for what goes on that persons face

·        Ensuring that all makeup is understanding on the skin  for lighting

Education:

Reflection:  YEsSSS!!! This is like my dream job as of right now. This what I want to become this is my goal. This is what I want to be because all of the equipment that is use fascinates me.

Obedience "Obedience is central to becoming,being, and remaining happy"- David Bednar

What I believe David Bednar is trying to say is that if you obey by what people tell you you would be a person of good, depending on what that person is asking you to do. But intentionally when you need to obey they say it  because they usually know whats best for you. Then that instant you may be happy because you obeyed that  person and did something positive. If you continue to obey in ways you can be happy in life to. .

What I believe this quote means is that it doesn't matter if your a expert a basketball or any sport what really matters is how good YOU are as person.

Dental Assistant

Duties and responsibilities:

Ø  Assisting the dentist in procedures

Ø  Developing x-rays

Ø  Asking patients about their medical information

Ø  Helping patients feel comfortable before/after dental treatment

Ø  Taking impressions of patients’ teeth for study cast

Ø  Perform office management

Ø  Providing direct patient care in all dental specialists

Education: Becoming a dental assistant you must have a High School and graduate from a dental degree program.

Reflection: This job kind of catches my attention because it doesn’t seem boring neither difficult and it seems interesting.

Dentist

Reflection: This job seems really interesting to inspect people’s teeth but it’s not really my interest to become one.

What I think this quote means is that the truth wealth isn't with cash its what's inside of you and how you are as a person either good or bad. What this quote also refers to is that it doesn't matter how much money you have the significance of wealth in this quote is how noble you are.

"You cannot do wrong and feel right. It is impossible." -Ezra T. Benson

What I think Ezra T. Benson is referring to is that when you choose to take a bad action you cannot feel right, you might feel uncomfortable. An example would be that if someone is doing something wrong or treating someone in a disrespectful way , you might think to yourself that its probably messed up. And you probably might think to yourself that that person might feel bad after of  what they said.

What Abraham Lincoln is saying is that when you take a wrong action and you are aware of it, you will feel awful. When you do a positive thing you are not ashamed of what you did. When I feel good about myself is when I give advice to my friend's when they might be going through a bad time and when I feel good is when I find out it works. When I feel bad is when I was told not to do something and I go ahead and do it and knowing that I did and keeping it from my parents makes me feel bad.

FREEDOM

   Obedience could lead you to more freedom because you may lead to less problems or commit them. How obedience could also lead to freedom is by obeying your elders and taking their advice because they might know whats best for you. An example of being a disobedient person maybe for those who are in jail those people might of started of the wrong path when they were younger and were disobedient. Your obedience might usually depend on your freedom.


    

Cardiologist

Duties and responsibilities: Cardiologist are medical doctors who work with patients to prevent and treat any diseases with the cardiovascular system. Cardiologist everyday task is to review doctor and patient documentation, schedule appointments and check patients heart rate.

Salary: $346,266 - $457,921 (not perform invasive procedures)  &  $373,500 - $532,000 (performed invasive procedures)

Education: Before becoming a cardiololgist they must graduate from medical school, complete a residency and become a board-certified in internal medicine and finally complete a fellowship in cardiology.

Reflection: My interest is not becoming a Cardiologist because it doesn’t really tract my attention to inspect others body function but the job does seem interesting.

 I believe that when you don't obey or chose the wrong path their might be consequences. Those consequences can be really terrible and thats how you learn your lesson. So by obeying could mean a great test of life.

Twin Towers Attack 

I don't remember at all on what happen on September 11,2001. I was just a couple of months old since I was born on the same year but on February. What I've learned about the twin towers is that they were the busiest towers of New York City and the two tallest from there as well. These two towers were attacked on the same day but different time in between. The planes that were used to destroy these two buildings had been hijacked by terrorists and passengers that aboard the plane were killed. The  North Tower collapsed at 8:46 a.m and the South Tower collapsed at 9:03 a.m. Now that I'am much older I can reflect my feelings and thoughts about the Twin Towers. My feelings towards the Twin Towers collapsing is shocking.

      

Audiologist

Duties and responsibilities: Audiologist are ear specialists who work with patients who have hearing problems or other type of problem that involves their ear. Audiologist are responsible for helping/curing  their patients with a better chance of hearing and another problem they might have.

Salary: $48,610 - $86,141

Education: In audiology it is required to have a doctoral degree and applicants must have a bachelors degree to qualify in medically related. Audiologists may practice at programs as well.

Reflection: My interest is not to be an audiology because it doesn’t really catch my interest on inspecting others ears. But it would seem nice to learn on how this job functions. 

Ambulance Dispatcher

Duties and responsibilities: An ambulance dispatcher job is to answer emergency calls and be able to respond in an accurate way. Also locate location where the caller is calling from.

Salary: $37,040

Education: In order to become an ambulance dispatcher you must have a high school diploma and other requirements are to have training in what you want to be.

Reflection: My interest is not being a ambulance dispatcher because I have a feeling that when I might answer some calls the caller might panic and that would make me nervous. The job doesn’t seem boring its just that its not in my best interest to be one.

I believe that Gordon is stating that  education is the key to success in life because it takes a lot of work (most of the time) to be successful but its not impossible. Success usually takes a lot of knowledge. You may become successful by attending at a college  or university. That's where you make your decision on what your goal is to become (career). Attending a college or a university is not just the only way to be successful their are other ways to be successful but attending at schools like that is mostly how the majority of  people become successful.

Acupuncture

Duties and responsibilities: A responsibility of an acupuncture is to help people improve their energy flow and alleviate pain. An Acupuncture’s job isn’t really to deal with mental health or diseases, I believe.

Salary: $28,986 - $81,728

Education: In order to become an acupuncture it takes number of years to study the requirements to become one. It has particular areas in which need to be study to become an acupuncture

Reflection: I think I wouldn’t want to become an acupuncture because I would seem nervous to stick a needle on someone and be worried if I hurt them.

Athletic Trainer

Duties and responsibilities: A job of an athletic trainer is to diagnose and treat injuries. They help people cure injuries with time who are in any athletic activities. Athletic trainer’s also prevent for an injury to occur.

Salary: $30,420 - $54,880

Education: To become an official athletic trainer you must graduate from a bachelors or have a masters from the commission on accreditation of athletic training eduction.

Reflection: I think I wouldn’t want to become an athletic trainer because it doesn’t really attract my attention to be one but it seems interesting.

Optician

Duties and Responsibilities: The duties/responsibilities of an optician is to help people who necessarily need eyeglasses or contact lenses. An optician’s job is to find glasses or contact lens ( color, style, shape, etc..) that best fits for them in their own way. Optician also has to figure out that the eyewear is appropriate for customer’s eye (has to have its best vision on eyes).

Salary: $25,786 - $58,332

Eductaion: Becoming an optician at least you need to have a high school diploma and attend at a technical institution.

Reflection: My interest is not becoming a optician but it seems interesting and looks like a easy job.

                                                                  PSYCHIATRIST

Duties and Responsibilities:Psychiatrist are physicans who specialize in the problems of mental illness. As physicans, they are licensed to use a wide variety of treatments and may write prescriptions. Psychiatrist may work for the government, have their own private practice, or work in hospitals, clinics, or universities. 

Average salary: $90,000-$200,000

Education Requirements: Bachelors, Mastors, Ph.D degrees

In addition to complete the requirments for a degree in allopathic or osteopathic medicine, psychiatrists must complete an intensive three year residency in psychiatry.

     Reflection: My interest is not becoming a physichiatrist, I’m focus on something else.                                                                 

                                        

Ophthalmologist

Duties and responsibilities:

Ophthalmologists are physicians who specialize in the treatment of eye disorders and disease. They treat vision problems and write prescriptions for both pharmaceuticals and corrective eyeglass lenses. When necessary, they perform eye surgery. Most ophthalmologist are in private practice, however some are employed by hospitals or clinics, and others perform research.

Average Salary: $90,000-$150,000

Educational requirements:

Only physicians may study to become ophthalmologists. After completing medical school and an intern ship, an ophthalmologist must then complete a three to five year residency in an approved ophthalmology program. After completing their residency program they must pass an examination to be certified.

Reflection: I think I wouldn’t want to become a ophthalmologist because it seems to difficult to do and its not my interest to become a ophthalmologist.

This quote is saying that your decisions you make in life determines  your destiny it depends if that decision is right or wrong. That decision may really  be important so you might have to choose wisefully. An example is that for me I chose to be good in school and have good grades and attend at a University to become successful in life.
