What this quote means is that he is willing to not win at all unless its the correct way or with honor. this sets a good example to follow because he tries to tell us in a way that it isn't right to cheat. He wouldn't want to cheat he prefers to fail. In some cases its hard to follow this rule depending on how important it is. Sometimes it doesn't really matter if you cheat to me because don't really see it as big deal .
